When the world is watching: ‘American Skin’ movie opens in U.S.

American Skin, a movie that follows a group of American college students who discover that the skin on their faces is not white, is opening in theaters in the U.K. and New Zealand on April 5.

The film is being released by Focus Features in a limited run of 1,000 tickets.

The movie is being produced by American Skin and Focus Features and stars Tom Hanks, Rachel Weisz, Olivia Wilde and Jodie Foster.

“American Skin is an amazing story of love and perseverance, and we’re really proud to be able to bring it to audiences in the UK and New York this spring,” said American Skin President and CEO Matt Goss.

“We’re excited to work with American Skin to bring this story to the world.”

American Skin is directed by Matt McElhaney and produced by David Haddad and Adam Goldberg.

American Skin stars Tom Hooper, Robert Pattinson, Toni Collette, Robert De Niro, Sam Shepard, Jonny Lee Miller, Emma Roberts, James Corden, and Jason Sudeikis.

American Skins director Matt Guss will direct the film.
